Unfortunately, we are bound by the rules of Formula Student, which means that we can only accept students. You can study at any university or technical college - we are happy to have a varied and diverse team.
Yes, absolutely! We are a large club with a lot of organizational work to do. Regardless of your studies, you can also work in a technical module if you are interested. We look forward to welcoming you to the team.
We are a student association, so you can organize your time with us completely freely. We also understand if you can work a week less, as you should also have time for exams. The only mandatory date is Monday evening, as that's where we hold our weekly team meeting.
We expect our members to have at least 10 free hours per week. The last few years have shown that fewer hours are not effective for team development. Of course, you can organize the time completely flexibly.Depending on the module and task, the time required can vary greatly.
Each season, we select our team's drivers for test drives and competitions. We travel together to kart tracks around Vienna to determine the best drivers. We also organize events like alumni drives, where team members get the chance to drive our EDGE after the season ends.
No, there are no open issues.After completing your successful recruiting phase, a topic can be found in every area of interest, which is why there are no explicitly advertised jobs.
Since the onboarding and induction process in the team takes a lot of time, it is unfortunately not possible to become a member for just one semester or a few months. One of the few admission requirements is therefore being able to attend for at least one full season.
No. We see ourselves as a training club where you can get a taste of racing for the first time. We rely much more on your motivation to get the racing team to the finish line even faster.
Based on the experience of recent seasons, we do not accept students who do not speak German. As there have been several communication difficulties in the past.
Membership with the Racing Team offers you many advantages, above all, of course, a large amount of practical experience in various areas. By working for the Racing Team, you can put your theoretical knowledge into practice. In addition to working in a motivated and diverse team, our countless sponsors also give you the opportunity to establish contacts in the industry.
Yes! At the Vienna University of Technology you receive ECTS for the modules Formula Student I&II. For detailed information, please contact us directly. You can also do internships and scientific work for seminars, bachelor's or master's degrees.
The team structure consists of both technical and organizational modules. During the trial phase, you have the opportunity to get a taste of different areas. Then we will find the best job for you together.Here you will find more information about the individual modules.
The composition of our module and team management changes every season. Of course, we are therefore very pleased if there is interest in taking such a position. Usually one joins the team as a regular member before assuming a leadership role, but the individual circumstances depend very much on the specific needs and the motivation and suitability of the prospect. If you see your future in a management position in the team, you are welcome to announce this when you apply or after your admission.
The membership fee for all club members is €40 per semester, in order to start the new half-year with a financial basis.
