Dear friends, dear supporters and dear fans!
We are back with a new update from the production phase of the EDGE16.
February was another month full of exciting events and challenges for our team. We completed the rules quizzes, are working hard on the production of the EDGE16 and are currently focusing on the upcoming recruiting phase, where we are looking for motivated students who want to become part of our team.
Rules quiz day
On the last day of January, the big day finally arrived and we were able to put our knowledge of the Formula Student rules to the test after months of learning and training. The annual Rules Quiz is a big challenge, as several Formula Student teams compete against each other to decide who gets to take part in the competitions in the summer.
The whole team worked together with motivation and we were able to qualify for the FS Austria, FS East, FS Germany and FS Italy competitions. We were more than happy with this result, as it shows us that our hard work has paid off. We can't wait to take part in the competitions and put our skills to the test!

TU Wien Racing at the TU Ball 2025
One day before the big Rules Quiz, the TU Ball took place in the Vienna Hofburg and we took the opportunity to be there with our EDGE14. We were available all evening for questions or other suggestions and concerns and were able to meet many curious students, alumni and ball guests.

The recruiting phase
Our second and final recruiting phase of this season will take place from February 17 to March 9, during which we aim to further expand the team for the coming season. This phase is all about attracting new talent who can enrich the team with exciting ideas and perspectives. The search focuses on a wide range of specialist areas - from development to production and management. We are highly motivated and look forward to receiving numerous applications.
Update from production
The second cycle for laminating the SES (Structural Equivalency Spreadsheet) panels is also currently underway. The SES is the Excel document that our team has to complete to prove that our mono design meets the compliance requirements. As part of this process, we carry out material tests with identical panels to prove that they can withstand the required forces and meet the relevant requirements. This work is crucial for our team to meet the technical requirements of Formula Student while maximizing the performance of the vehicle.

Save the Date:
On May 16, 2025, our rollout will take place at “TU The Sky”, where our EDGE16 will be presented. We are looking forward to this exciting day and are preparing intensively for it. Further information will follow in a separate invitation.
