Dear friends, dear supporters and dear fans!
We are back with a new update from the competition period of EDGE15.
Season finale 2023/24 - A year full of challenges, team spirit and success!
The 2024 season is behind us and it's time to look back on an intense, exciting year. What began last winter semester with the initial planning developed over many months into a challenging but also incredibly instructive process, at the end of which we have our latest racing car: the EDGE15.
From the initial design drafts to the production of the individual components and the final assembly, we invested countless hours together as a team to make our racing car a reality. Not everything always went according to plan: there were technical difficulties, tight deadlines and some stressful phases. Every hurdle was an opportunity to get creative, find solutions and grow together as a team.
The competitions in Hungary, Austria, Germany and Croatia were the highlights of the year. We were able to demonstrate the potential of the EDGE15 in the dynamic disciplines and the skills of our team in the statics on the various race tracks. Of course, there were more than enough challenges, especially at the beginning of the competition season, but our team always showed full commitment. The competitions were a great experience and we learned a lot that will help us in the future.
It was a particular highlight to finally get the EDGE15 out on the track and see our months of work conquer the asphalt tracks in the form of this vehicle. The feeling of having created a finished racing car together is indescribable and fills us with pride.
We would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us during this intensive period - be it with technical expertise, material support or simply with motivation. Without this help, the project would not have been possible and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who has contributed to our success.
We are looking forward to next season and are ready to tackle new challenges. Until then, we will enjoy the memories of what we have achieved as a team this year.
DMG Mori
In addition to the production of components for our EDGE, special tool and mold making is also essential for the creation of our racing car.
DMG Mori supports us with access to a 4-axis-CNC milling machine and a CNC lathe to drastically increase our internal production capacities. Our members can benefit greatly from the extensive training provided by DMG Mori application engineers and gain experience in working with the machines. Many thanks to DMG Mori for their active support!
Until then!
Your TU Wien Racing
