Newsflash Season Ending 2025

Dear friends, dear supporters and dear fans!

We are back with a new update from from the EDGE16 end of season phase.

End of season 24/25 – A year full of successes and emotions!

What a season! We can look back on a year full of unforgettable moments, hard work, and great successes. For the first time, we were able to successfully use our driverless system at an event – a milestone that took our team to a new level. But the absolute highlight came shortly after. Our most successful event in team history at Formula Student Italy. We made history with a sensational 2nd place overall and top rankings in almost all disciplines. We can be very proud of our first places in Acceleration, Efficiency, and Engineering Design. Followed by four second places in the disciplines of skid pad, autocross, endurance, and business plan, as well as a sixth place in the cost report, we can look to the future with great success. These results impressively demonstrate what is possible with passion, team spirit, and tireless dedication, making this season finale something very special.

But before these moments of success could be achieved, the team had to invest numerous intensive days and nights in implementing the EDGE16 designs in order to get a competitive car onto the race track. After many months of production, the time had finally come – the competitions could begin.

The fact that we were able to make team history in two competitions this season reminds us why we do what we do. Without the tireless efforts of each and every team member and the support of our sponsors, this would not have been possible. At the same time, these moments give us the motivation to start the next year with fresh enthusiasm and renewed passion. We would like to thank all team members, alumni, and sponsors who accompany us on this journey. Through your commitment, support, and trust, we were able to experience this extraordinary season and make history together.

The development of a high-performance race car begins with the smallest details. Precision in manufacturing determines whether a complex component will ultimately function smoothly. This is precisely where Zoerkler, an Austrian company with decades of experience in the manufacture of high-precision components and complete drive systems, excels. Zoerkler is part of the international Xtrac Group, a leading global supplier of high-performance transmissions – including for Formula 1.

From design and prototyping to testing and series production, every step is carried out in-house. Among other things, the company produces transmissions for helicopters and electric vehicles, as well as drive components for high-speed trains and the automotive sector.

Zoerkler's transmission parts are of central importance for our EDGE racing cars. For several years, the company has been ensuring with the utmost precision that our racing cars perform reliably on the track.
